Privacy Policy
PickPort is warehouse operations software. The iOS and Android apps are floor clients for receiving and shipping. The web app at app.pickport.ca is office admin. This policy covers how we handle personal data in those products.
Who this is for
PickPort is used by organizations (warehouses and their staff). We process account data on behalf of the organization that invited you. If you do not have an invitation, you cannot create a consumer account.
Data we collect
- Account: email address, name if provided, role, and which organization and warehouse you belong to.
- Operations: receiving and shipping activity, including scans of item and location codes you submit while working a job.
- Session: signed-in device session so you stay authenticated on the floor.
Sign-in is passwordless. We send a one-time email link to prove you control that address. We do not store a password for the mobile app flow.
Camera
The mobile app requests camera access to scan barcodes and location codes. Scanning happens on the device. We do not save camera photos or video to your account.
How we use data
We use this data to run PickPort: authenticate you, show the jobs for your warehouse, record floor work, and keep the product secure. We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for third-party advertising or tracking across other companies’ apps.
Sharing
Data is visible to users in your organization according to their role (for example, office staff see jobs the floor is working). We use infrastructure providers to host the app and send sign-in email. They process data only to provide those services.
Retention
We keep account and job records while your organization uses PickPort and as needed for operations and security. Organizations can ask to deactivate users. Contact us to request deletion of an account you control.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including Canada and, if applicable, the EU/UK), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Floor users should start with their employer; you can also email privacy@pickport.ca.
Children
PickPort is not directed at children under 13.
